Project Description
This Planning, Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment includes improvements to Highway 3 and a new possible connection from St. Thomas to Aylmer, in Elgin County, Ontario. This study will include reviewing existing conditions, developing and evaluating potential new route alternatives and short-term improvements, and developing environmental protection and mitigation measures. A Recommended Plan will be confirmed at the completion of the study and a preferred alignment will be designated following completion of the study.
The details of the proposed work will be further developed as the Preliminary Design progresses and will be presented to the public and agencies at three Public Information Centres.
